Dear Families,
The ELC staff hope you are all safe and healthy! We miss seeing the kids already!  At this challenging and changing time, families can find district updates on COVID-19 and the ‘Continuity of Learning’ Plan at the District website: www.prn.bc.ca  
The first week back from Spring Break is a planning week for staff. This time will allow staff to work on the ‘Continuity of Learning’ Plan. The learning activities that they are planning are not expected to replicate the normal schedule in a classroom. Our teachers will be working hard to create lessons and activities that will enable the students to continue their growth in different areas. These learning activities will look different from class to class. You can expect an initial communication from your child’s teacher by the end of this week. Teachers will be sending out their weekly overview and daily lessons starting on Monday, April 6. 
I will be emailing a Google Form for students to fill in if they would like to have their belongings from their locker and/or if they require access to technology. We have a limited number of Chromebooks that we can lend out if your family does not have access to a device. We will have a pick-up procedure in place by the end of the week. The school is not open to students, parents or other members of the community. This is to ensure the utmost safety protocols that we have in place for our staff.
Information is changing on a daily basis and I will be sending out updates as needed. Please continue to check the school website at elc.prn.bc.ca for information. If you have any questions you can call the school at 250-263-9855 or reply to this email. Please note the hours of availability for reaching the school by phone this week is 8:00-9:00 and 10:00-3:00.
